Editorial Board Member Selection Process

Editorial Board Member Selection Process

The International Journal of Convergence Research in Engineering, Technology & Management (IJCRETM) follows a structured, transparent, and merit-based process for the selection and renewal of Editorial Board Members to maintain academic quality and ethical publishing standards.

Eligibility and Selection Criteria

Editorial Board Members are selected based on:

  • Academic qualifications and domain expertise

  • Research contributions and quality publication record

  • Experience in teaching, research, or relevant industry practice

  • Prior involvement in peer review or editorial responsibilities

Nomination and Application

Candidates may be:

  • Nominated by the Editor-in-Chief, publisher, or existing Editorial Board Members

  • Considered through formal applications or expressions of interest

All nominations and applications undergo an initial screening to shortlist eligible candidates.

Evaluation and Selection

Shortlisted candidates are evaluated by the Editor-in-Chief in consultation with the publisher and existing Editorial Board Members. The evaluation considers subject relevance, review experience, ethical standards, and commitment to timely scholarly review. Where necessary, a sample peer review may be requested to assess review quality, objectivity, ethical compliance, and timeliness.

Appointment and Onboarding

Selected candidates receive a formal appointment invitation along with onboarding materials outlining editorial roles, responsibilities, and ethical guidelines. Appointed members are expected to actively contribute to peer review, editorial decision-making, and academic guidance.

Tenure, Review, and Renewal

The composition of the Editorial Board is reviewed periodically, typically every two to three years, to ensure continued relevance and the inclusion of fresh academic perspectives. Board membership may be renewed based on performance, contribution, and engagement, while inactive members may be rotated out as necessary.
